Sign the Petition to Stop the Construction of Cell Tower at the Bethlehem High School & Remove them from Middle School
Its time to remove the microwave towers endangering our middle school students.
Ask the Town of Bethlehem Supervisor and Town Board Members to end contracts with Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, Nextel and XMRadio! Current contracts allow for their removal if town zoning rules are changed.
Parents, students, property owners, teacher representatives protested in October the plans to build cell towers on two elementary schools and the high school in the Bethlehem Central School District. Major news coverage, letters and emails to school officials prevented the proposed construction at the elementary schools.
However, the school district is still considering the high school site (see how they voted below) and local officials have not mentioned what they will do about the almost two dozen towers located on the Town owned water tank across from the Bethlehem Middle School.
You can help make sure all our children are safe from the harmful effects of microwave radiation.Print the petition (click here to see petition) and mail it to school administrators and town officials. Let them know that raising revenue for the town by endangering our children, teachers and school staff is not acceptable.
Contact information for Bethlehem Central School District Board members (click here) and Town of Bethlehem government officials (click here) is provided below. Please print and mail your signed petition today! Or E-mail the School Board at [email protected]. The health of your children is at stake.
